The Greatest Gift

We're so glad you are here. We want to share with you the greatest gift of all time - Jesus Christ. Ever since Adam and Eve rebelled against God by eating the forbidden fruit that gave them the knowledge of good and evil, man has been God’s enemy, spiritually dead, born under the curse of sin and the condemnation of death, wanting his own way and not God’s.
The gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ shows us how we can return to a right relationship with God through the gift of Jesus Christ and be changed from His enemies to His friends and be adopted as His children.
It’s the way God made for us to have eternal life rather than death.
Because God is perfectly just and holy, sin, even one little lie, is enough to condemn us.
His standard is perfection therefore none of us can ever do enough to earn our way to heaven.
One day we will die and be judged by God and if we’re found guilty we’ll be condemned to an eternity in hell.
But God in His Great love for mankind and mercy sent us the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ to make way for us to be reconciled to God.

The Bible tells us that…
“God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” John 3:16-19
Jesus willingly obeyed His Father and came into this world to make a way so that God’s justice can be satisfied, the price paid for our sin and we can be set free from eternal punishment and have eternal life in heaven with Him.
God, through His Son Jesus Christ, became a man, came to earth, lived a sinless life and then died on the cross.  On the cross God “made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Jesus took the wrath of God due to us for our sin, so that we, by believing in Him, might in exchange be covered with His righteousness.  This is often called the great exchange.
Jesus rose again and appeared to many of His friends and followers telling them to share this good news before returning to heaven. That is the good new we want to share with today. Every person on this earth needs to be saved by personally trusting in Jesus.
The Spirit of God convicts us of our sin. When we are convicted, if by faith we trust in what Jesus Christ did for us and believe that He is the Son of God we shall be saved.
The wonderful thing about salvation is that it’s a gift, it’s free! You can never earn your salvation, but you can be freely saved by believing in Jesus Christ and trusting in what he has done.
